I fully understand why people would dislike this book, but I couldn't help but like it. I enjoyed the writing style for the most part, though at times it became a little grating. He enjoys using short-burst sentences which can be effective, but sometimes they just came off as juvenile. What I loved most about this book was the subject matter and the way Miller could so nicely state all the wonderful, confusing, comfy, conflicting, etc feelings that I have about Christianity. I liked the fact that Miller isn't being preachy. I like that I'm not the only Christian who doesn't have a problem with getting drunk or cussing or loving non-believers. I liked hearing about all his random life experiences. I want to live like that. I didn't care for some things in the book (specifically the section on tithing as Miller made it sound that if you tithe, you will be guaranteed blessings), but overall I really enjoyed it. If I owned a copy, I would have highlighted so many passages. This is definitely a book I'll be reading again someday.
