Mother Pucker by Swati M.H.

4.0

Book 3 of the Momcoms brings us Shay and Rowan's story. The chemistry between the two characters was insane! Shay is a dichotomy, eating healthy foods, taking great care with her body and her child, but she secretly smokes. She also has a strong penchant for battery operated boyfriends. Rowan also takes great care of his body, which his job as a professional hockey player requires. He does seem to thoroughly enjoy delayed gratification and a touch of voyeurism. Rowan is instantly attracted to Shay and seems to have a wonderful connection with Kai, Shay's son, pretty quickly as well. I loved both Shay and Kai's growth through out the story. I also really enjoyed how Rowan's attention to detail really conveyed how much he cared about the two of them

The characters were written incredibly well, but there was something about the story line that felt a bit forced to me. Overall, I enjoyed the story, and thoroughly enjoyed the narration. Samantha Brentmoor picked up almost seamlessly from Maxine Mitchell (who narrated books 1 and 2), and I appreciated the continuity of similar voicing of the characters. Teddy Hamilton also did an excellent job, giving all the male characters unique voices and being consistent between books 2 and 3. Thank you to Bluenose Audio for the book!
