The Space Between Worlds
by Micaiah Johnson
Brilliant premise and world-building.
But I nearly DNF around 30%. I didn’t have a clear idea of what the problem was or where the plot was headed… so the first third of the book felt rambling and depressing. It picked up considerably in the second half when some clear plot points happened (really, when she got to world 175.)
