The struggles that occur in this story were truly enjoyable to experience.

The ingtrigue of the positions (roles of the characters that live), the three different areas of the world, the Actuality, the Between and the Etherial. The races that reside within each realm, and why each area exists (and contrastly, how each realm effects the others in a positive way and a negative way). This is (by now...in the series) so well defined, but still moves the tension of this story along. So good.

The weight of what Kit does...as the Chief Operator in protecting the Actuality from the Ethereal. How Henley, as a Mage...is able to interact with the Ethereals, the Between, and even the other Mages in his source realm...with the one thing he's lost, but even still is able to make the difference...that is needed.

The stand that was made by Kit and Henley. Also, how Elryk is able to do what he does, because of who he is...and I'm not talking about being a Coffee man. Very interesting. Loved Elryk and really hated Markash. Oh, I hated him and all that he stood for (and did).

The complexity that happens from book one, to book two and through book three. I was interested, but wasn't fully satisfied at the beginning, BUT  the worldbuilding, the plot (of each book, but more so of the entire story) and the characters. The characters hold (bind) the story together.

I'm not sure if there is a fourth book, though I want at least one more (if not more), but if it is completed in this book...I'd be okay, though I want more. Hmm.
