The Lost Village
by Camilla Sten
2022 read
It was a little slow at first, but then it picked up nicely. Although the book is a crime/thriller, I think it also has enough horror elements. It's a bit of a shame that the characters from the present were not described in more depth, and to be honest, it seems strange to me that the police wouldn't have found Alice's great-grandmother's letter, or that they wouldn't have tried to search the houses and the school more, which would have immediately found things that they then found documentarians. Anyway, I definitely recommend it. The idea was great, the story unfolded nicely and I'm excited about the explanation and resolution at the end.
