 I did very much like the tension in the first 40% and towards the end of the book - Garrett Leigh writes intense scenes very well! But I couldn't shake the feeling that the story overall was choppy and every pov-switch felt disjointed (at least for the first 60% or so). For me, it was partly helped by more characters coming into play in the latter half of the book, while the first half was much more focused solely on the main trio. And that's a bit sad, that I didn't care enough about them to be happy with limited interactions with characters I already loved from previous books.
