The imagery and language used in this book was artful. The way that everything is reworded to give the illusion of things being normal is really impactful. Definitely a hard read because of the content matter, but an interesting reflection of how messed up humans are and the lengths people will go to preserve their own. Just wow. There is one scene specifically involving animal abuse/death so if you find that difficult to read, be warned. The ending was also WILD and came to an end so quickly.
