this... fizzled out at the end, which was a total shame. the party all split up and the main conflict got solved off-screen. i don't really think that's forgivable, y'know? i appreciated that the book did some things that surprised me though, like, i fully expected soria to make a miraculous and timely recovery but i just don't think i can get over the way that ending was completely thrown away.
