I love Vowell's witty, insightful writing. This book was written in 2002 and includes her thoughts on the Clinton presidency, Gore's failed election and articles on her interest in American history and parks. Her passion for politics and history inspires me, and I'll be looking for more of her recent writing.
Her essay on Gore's visit to a New Hampshire high school, where he was misquoted in order to conform to current ideas on his media persona, should be required reading for every high school civics student.
