Bacchanal by Veronica G. Henry

3.0

Initially I was excited about this book. Think "Something Wicked This Way Comes" with the wicked, the opposing good, and most of the carnies of African origin. Set in the Jim Crow south of the 1930s. But the characters' internal dialogue interrupted the plot too much towards the end. And the climax was abrupt and somewhat anticlimactic.
