I can’t get into Meg's brain why she acting like that, cause once said ‘You will not understand if you weren't in their shoes’ so I keep reading till the end.
Meg’s life has been surrounded by a ‘bad’ marriage/divorce story since she is a divorce lawyer and that affects her. Her emotion, trust, and mind. From what I got, Meg is alone and lonely for years since her separation from her young sister who was also her best friend. They were close. Very.
Their Mama- oh my, how cruel and miserable person. Selfish. Joe is a character that I can say of sudden…? He is a side character but gives quite a major impact.
The plot was so-so for this book. I’m not so amazed as I read The Nightingale yet I still adore the writing style by Kristin Hannah. Personally, sometimes, the explanation is not necessary and draggy or it is just to give the vibes and, the plot kinda mess up (or it’s just me, Hi, I’m the problem it's me hahaha) and there aren’t many things going on which makes me lazy to read it on.
The middle part of the book is totally lost. Macam tak ada hala tuju. After all, I’m still stuck and focused on reading it but just until the plot goes📉.
