grace134 's review for:
That Kind of Mother
by Rumaan Alam
I read this after I read Leave the World Behind, as a new Rumaan Alam convert, and while this didn't hit quite the same spot, Alam can really convince me that he's ANYONE. He writes as a wealthy 80s housewife/poet, and I BELIEVE it. And I care!
The last sentence of this book is "It's 1999 and I believe a better world is coming" and WOW that was DEPRESSING!
