So I liked this book, but not as much as the first one. I was previewing it for my fourth grader. I found it to be true to the age (6th grade) with it's discussions of 'crushes', 'getting their periods'…However, I might have her wait a year if she doesn't ask to read it. While those topics are age appropriate for 6th grade, I don't know if she needs to read them now (with the sixth grade commentary that goes along with those topics). There is also a section about a highschool boy that gets into trouble with alchohol. Again, a little above my particular fourth graders level.
