My first time of reading a julio verne book and let me tell you, I wasnt so sure about the beginning of it. Firstly because the main character is annoying, secondly the descending of the Icelandic mountain was very monotonous as well, and mostly very geological. And thirdly, at almost at the end it's where it gets interesting and very scientific like with the discovery of living fossils (either trees or animals) and that got me hooked, their adventure finally begins. Either way, it's a wonderful classic that I deeply recommend for those who like a fast paced and short chapters like book and also scientific facts.
