Meh, not very good. This is an imaginative re-telling of the story of Rahab and the battle of Jericho from the Old Testament. Christian fiction is not my usual scene, but I read [b:Redeeming Love|11422|Redeeming Love|Francine Rivers|http://photo.goodreads.com/books/1166475085s/11422.jpg|820210] a while back by the same author and was so pleasantly surprised by how fun, enjoyable, and well, good it was that I thought I would give something else by her a go. Sadly, I think this is a good example of what is wrong with so much fiction written for the Christian market-- a real lack of subtlety and complexity, flat characters, lackluster storytelling... Blech. In its favor, this was very short. Two stars instead of one because I would classify it more as mediocre than really bad.
