Twisted Games by Ana Huang

While I liked the first one in the series enough, I felt like there was something missing. Like, I don't understand why everyone's so obsessed with this series from that book.

But THIS???

I COMPLETELY get it.

I immediately like Rhys better than Alex and he isn't too much of an asshole, especially to Bridget, so I was compelled to sympathize with him and root for their relationship. I also liked Bridget a lot and enjoyed her conflict between her heart and duty. I also like how she is someone who genuinely cared about helping people, so she brought that energy with her into preparing for being Queen. I also loved their romance and I feel like this book is what people mean when they say they like a slow burn romance.

I think that because I liked them individually, I liked their relationship better (even when I was groaning at certain parts). I also love the bodyguard romance and, despite the fact that there are usually one of four outcomes that can happen. I will give credit to Ana Huang that I genuinely had no clue where it was going and how it would end.

Absolutely amazing.
