The Librarian of Burned Books by Brianna Labuskes

4.0

This book got off to a slow start. Stick with it. I wasn't really engaged until almost halfway through, and then it caught me, as the stories of the three women began to meld.
It's about WWII - and then again, its main point is not about WWII at all, but a much more contemporary issue. The speeches that Hannah and Althea gave in the last hour of the audio version might have been referring to the actions of the Nazis, but they were definitely also directed at contemporary right-wing politics, and the points sure hit home. I hope a few people get the analogy and learn from it.
