3.5 stars. Cozy mysteries are my jam, and I did really think think this was a good one. I had no idea whodunnit until the big reveal, and honestly did not see it going the way it did. I feel for Ellery and all the shenanigans he seems to get drawn straight into. My gripes this time around were that it seemed to wrap up WAY to quickly, and I strongly dislike the way the love interest is shaping up (although, this tends to be the case with me and Lanyon books generally, so maybe we disagree on how romance works). However, the mystery worked out well, and the writing was very good; I look forward to continuing the series!
