M Is for Magic by Neil Gaiman
2.0

This was overall a pretty disappointing collection. Half the stories in here have since been re-published in his other short story anthologies, which I think is ridiculous. If you are consistently publishing anthologies that feature only your own short stories then you shouldn't have repeats. If you don't have enough new material then wait until you do! I guess technically the low rating should go on the later anthologies but since I've read them out of order the rant goes here.

Also the last fifth of the book is just an excerpt of The Graveyard Book which ...again, this was published before that book but it still seems lazy. And I hate that story with the black cat. As a cat owner it makes me very sad. Nothing really special here and if you have read / are planning to read his other anthologies I would just entirely skip this one because there isn't a lot of new content and the stuff that is here is not particularly good or original anyway.
