The Inheritance Games by Jennifer Lynn Barnes

1.0

Okay, I honestly had a really hard time with The Inheritance Games. If you advertise it as: 'secret passage-filled house, where every room bears the old man's touch -- and his love of puzzles, riddles, and codes' you had better deliver on the puzzles, codes, and secret passages.
This book did not, and I gave up on it over 150 pages in. In that time it had one small riddle, and one passing glance of a person appearing from a secret passage. It also had a lot of repetitiveness that could've easily been condensed into a much more grabbing story. I HATE to not finish a book, especially one that is so highly recommended by some. But when you read a book specifically for the puzzles and passageways, and don't get that by 150 pages in, it's pretty difficult to keep going.
