The Legend of Korra: Turf Wars Library Edition by Bryan Konietzko, Michael Dante DiMartino

5.0

I love this book and edition. For those concerned about the library editions, I find mine not only sturdy and beautiful but still very easy to read.

As for the content, the artwork is superb and very immersive. The characters still have their personality and quirks from the show, which certainly shine through the brilliant illustrations. I liked the overall arc of the story, especially as a queer reader eager to explore Korra and Asami's relationship. Like everything in the Avatar universe, I liked that the story didn't shy away from exploring the differences of Nation's cultures and their views on same-sex relationships.

Getting to see more of the spirit world was also fantastic - the comic format gives you more time to soak in all the different kinds of spirits. I am very happy that I added these to my collection, and highly recommend them to anyone who loved the Legend of Korra show as much as I did.
