Another book that I heard so much hype about, although this time, I do think that maybe my expectations were slightly too high. A good memoir about a devastating loss with moments that really hit, and I always appreciate an author who understands the limbo of being raised within two cultures. Personally, I do think that some elements of this didn’t fully work for me, like the endless description of food, and the beginning and the end had me spacing out for more than a few minutes at a time.
