The Expanse: Origins by Hallie Lambert, Georgia Lee, James S.A. Corey
4.0

I'm glad I have this in my Expanse collection. It is different, obviously, to see not only the story as it relates to the show more so than the books. But it is refreshing to see a bit of backstory built into each of the 5 primary characters from Leviathan Wakes. It is just a single event for the most part (Alex is more like a string of events but the premise is the same) but well worth it to me to just have that "defining moment" sort of story that helps flesh out the motivations for the characters. Other than that it is just a graphic novel in a series of really intense and large books, nothing more.
