+ This story is a love letter to the everyday things that bring the narrator--a young boy--warmth, comfort, security, and a contagious sense of pride in one's identity.  The text is gentle and easy for young readers to understand and identify with,  woven together with Mora's lush illustrations that elevate and celebrate. It feels like the book is reaching out to give readers a giant hug. Use this story to spark conversations with young readers about the familiar people, places, and things that make them who they are.

- I can't think of one: one of the best books I've read in a long time!

*Who is this for? All readers--young, old, and in-between--ready to reflect on what they're grateful for and the things that define them.
