In this Greek mythology retelling, Elyse John takes the story of Orpheus and Eurydice with her own spin by gender swapping the two main characters. John’s prose is both beautiful and descriptive and she really teleports you into the story itself. I found myself getting so lost in the descriptions that I would lose focus in the actual story itself.
I thoroughly enjoyed Orphia and Eurydicius! I recommend it to anyone who, like me, loves mythology retellings/reimaginings.
