The Book of Form and Emptiness by Ruth Ozeki

challenging dark emotional slow-paced

I adored this book. It dragged on a bit too long, but I think that may have been part of the intention? To feel the almost tedious anxiety and struggle that Benny and Annabelle feel in their daily life. Occasionally, the format threw me off. I think the premise is genius though, and it really made me think differently about grief, trauma, and mental illness. Fabulous character development and gorgeous writing.
