Weird AF. Creepy and unputdownable. I typically don’t go for horror-type stuff but I could not stop reading. The juxtaposition of the real monster with the horrors of gentrification is clever and interesting, though I’m not sure they were tied together in a way that made sense for the general moral of the story (gentrification is bad?). The art was awesome and really fit the vibe of the story.
Anyway, I’ll read anything that takes place in Chicago, so here we are. Others who are more into creepy/gory horror will enjoy this more than I did.
