Welcome back to this episode of the PJO Reread!
I remembered maybe two things about this book: the Hoover Dam bit and holding up the sky. Otherwise, it was like reading this story for the first time again.
I love Thalia. I love the Hunters. It was SO nice seeing so many women in the cast lineup. (Bianca di Angelo deserved more screen time and I’ll die on that hill.)
SO much happened in this book Jesus Christ. I think I skipped over this book in the original read-through and I didn’t get to it until MANY years later. I’d like to visit it again, I think. Lots of nice character devel, LOTS of new monsters and weapons and characters!
Also, “Live forever in the stars” KILLED ME. I wept. That ENTIRE scene hurt so bad.
A wonderful experience again. Excited to take on the Battle of the Labyrinth!!
