Capturing the Devil
by Kerri Maniscalco
3.5/5
"I long to live in a world where equal treatment is not something in need of commending."
Me too, Cresswell.
This book was way better than book 3, but I'm still kinda disappointed. I feel like Thomas was still done super dirty. I'm all for him giving Audrey Rose freedom and choices, but he can do that and still have emotions and assert himself. Idk, I just didn't vibe with that.
I also don't know what the point of the ruined marriage was. There was no real point to that since everything was magically resolved at the end by none other than THE QUEEN OF ENGLAND LIKE WHAT? Why not just let them get married and then go off and capture the notorious serial killer as a married duo? I don't like when authors add drama and tension for literally no reason. If there wasn't going to be any character growth or real consequences, then why even include it in the story?
Idk... All I know is, I love Thomas Cresswell.
