The Umbrella Academy, Vol. 3: Hotel Oblivion by Gerard Way

5.0

Ohhh my god, this was such an incredible read. It was a really, really good addition to the already amazing existing volumes. Honestly, I think The Umbrella Academy is one of my favourite - if not my absolute favourite - comic books. The art in here is gorgeous, but minimalist and stylistic at the right time. Beautiful, bold colour choices too, which I always appreciate. And the story itself! Amazing! Sometimes, it gets tricky when comics try and balance several storylines, but much like the show, this volume did a really good job of making it all work in the end. Also, side note - Klaus has the coolest powers and that scene where he basically destroyed those people in the desert gave me literal chills when I saw it. I can't stop thinking about it. And the ending was really intriguing. I'm dying to know more, and I can't wait for the next instalment! I cannot recommend The Umbrella Academy enough.
