Daisy Darker is easily the best thriller I have read in 2022. The book opens with the Darker family converging upon Seaglass, the Darker family ancestral home, to celebrate Nana Darker's 80th birthday, where they have all been called for the reading of her will, as she does not believe she will live to see her 81st birthday. In the middle of the night, the first Darker dies, and a terrifying poem is left, implying that they will be picked off one by one.

The plot then bounces between Daisy Darker's childhood and the present as she reminisces and more Darkers die. The Agatha Christie inspiration is readily apparent. The writing is fantastic, and the book never lets up. I was ready to reread to see what I had missed the first go around as soon as I finished the final page.
