When Forty Blooms by Jacinta Howard

5⭐️ – A Beautifully Real Love Story About Healing and Second Chances

When Forty Blooms by Jacinta Howard was deeply relatable and touched my heart in so many ways. As a woman in my 40s, I saw myself reflected in many parts of Simone’s journey, which made this story even more impactful.

This second-chance romance centers on Simone and Jackson, a divorced couple still very much in love but separated by unresolved childhood trauma Simone must confront and heal from. Jacinta Howard brings these two to life with such care and depth. I honestly felt like I knew them. What a great man Jackson was! Let's add him to the book boyfriend list. There's nothing I love more than a man who knows what he wants and goes after it in a respectful manner.

Even after their divorce, Simone and Jackson show each other grace, co-parent beautifully, and slowly begin the journey back to one another. The pacing was perfect, and I found myself fully invested in their story, smiling often as I listened. The plot was creatively crafted, the characters were beautifully thought out, and the spice was on point!
