Wow! I had really high expectations for this series because I’ve heard so many people talk good things about it! And let me tell you they were all so right!
Diem is a young talented healer in a highly divided world. There are mortals and the powerful Descendants who can wield magic.
After she encounters her mother speaking to an unknown Descendant, her mother disappears and Diem is left alone to face some well hidden secrets from her.
Diem is facing an inner battle, that she doesn’t even know about, but soon will have to face them.
And then there is Luther - hot, broody, strong - Descendant prince. We only get a glimpse of him, but something tells me we will read more about him.
It is a high fantasy book with romance and mystery. I was swooning and giggling. It has character growth and complexity and real characters with flaws. I am so excited for the second book!
