The Mister by E.L. James
4.0
We got off to a rocky start, there were things I couldn't get my head around, Maxim seemed like a prick and I didn't see the connection between him and his new love interest.
I wish there was more suspense to the initial attraction and they didn't fall for each other so easily, I hated the way Maxim said 'fuck' all of the time and I was listening to this via audible which I think made parts of the book hard to accept.
Although there were issues of course, just like Fifty Shades, I devoured it. E L James' writing is addictive and the story was fun and easy to read. I literally read this in one day and it's a 500+ paged book (which I did think was unnecessary).
Maxim grew on me, his protectiveness was just lovely, I was glad that he wasn't a prick all of the way through and the relationship in this book was so lovely especially at the end of the book, I was left grinning from ear to ear.
I also have a feeling there could be more to come.. I hope there is.
