Believe it or not this was the first book that ever really got me into reading. I first read this in 8th grade. Before, I hated reading... The only books I have ever read were the ones the school makes me read...but my friend forced me to read this book and this is how my book addiction got started.
I suppose I have this book to thank for that or I wouldn't have known the wonders of reading a book and getting into the story.
I remember loving Anita because she was such a strong character and I remember drooling over Jean-Claude and Edward. This book has certainly gone downhill over the years and turned into such a disappointment. The characters definitely has changed in the more recent volumes and in my opinion, not for the better but I'll always keep the first three or four books of this series as something special in my heart.
