I finished this book last night and it was SO GOOD! It's a YA book with a Palestinian-Canadian FMC written by a Palestinian-Canadian author.
Jessie (15) is a quirky loner obsessed with the nineties and she finds herself freshly diagnosed with autism just weeks before starting high school. Her therapist encourages her to make a list of goals for this school year
Start the year with 2 distinct eyebrows ✔️
Goal #1: Convince Mom to buy me a real bra!!!
Goal #2: Make friends!!!
Goal #3: Do not let anyone see me cry at school!!!
Goal #4: Don't tell anyone about my autism!!!
This book was so relatable and took me back to being an insecure 15 yr old girl... when my biggest worry was trying to get my crush to talk to me and my entire mood could be affected by if I got to see said crush each day (cue sad music if I didn't and happy music if I did).... But without having to actually relive those days (thank goodness). I highly recommend this book
