Sister Dear by Laura McNeill

1.0

I was not impressed and wouldn't recommend it. I can understand what the author was trying to accomplish, but I think it was a miss.

I listened to this book on Audible and did not like the narrator. She was boring, flat and showed no emotion. Some of the tones in her voice did not reflect what the words were saying.

I didn't connect with, or even like, any of the characters. I fee like some of the things they said or did, did not reflect how I perceived their personalities to be. They reflected oddly in situations and were not realistic.

I was confused about how Allie was out on parole after ten years, when she was convicted of murder. I was confused by how Emma was all of the sudden the bad guy and it didn't seem to match her personality.

Over all it was boring, unrealistic and uneventful. I didn't care about a thing that happened. I almost stopped reading - but I hate to not finish a book I've started.
