I liked that this one wasn't the "police investigates stuff" sort of thriller. Instead it is from the view of a woman who is mentally ill and can't leave her house, which makes for a nice change! The author manages to still keep the story interesting, even though the world is more or less limited to one house, and just very short scenes in any other location. Quite a challenge of you can't build your world around the story, and the author was up for it.
There's a twist or two I did see coming, but I think that's more due to me having read so many thrillers and books about people who aren't fully functional emotionally. So I'm this one I didn't feel like guessing the twists took away from the story - especially as they weren't glaringly obvious and predictable.
I really liked the main character, and am a bit sad to see her go, I'd love to know how life will progress for her from that point on.
I definitely enjoyed this one, and will happily pick up other books from the same author!
