Drew me in right away and kept me hooked, though the material is quite disturbing. I thought the story was well constructed and told. I would have rated it higher but was put off by the misogyny of the main character - I couldn’t tell if it was reflective of the author’s own internalized misogyny or an important aspect of the character, and unfortunately ended up concluding the former.
