I was engrossed with this book and thought I would give it five stars. But before writing this review, I looked over my previous reviews of Fielding’s books (I have read a few) and noticed that another book of hers I rated highly had a similar disappointment: a hanging storyline. (I’m being vague so as not to ruin the book for someone else.)
Overall, the story and characters are excellent. In fact, Fielding‘s three-dimensional creation of all of the characters is a treat. Written from the author omnipotent viewpoint, the reader gets to meet multiple characters and most of them are well flushed out.
But then there’s that hanging storyline… it will bug me, I know.
