Lavondyss: Journey to an Unknown Region by Robert Holdstock

Ok, so I am 100% in favor of Mythago Wood winning the World Fantasy Award in 1985. However, I’m at a complete loss as to how on earth Lavondyss wasn’t even shortlisted in 1989, let alone denied.

This was an exceptional novel. Much digestion needs to happen.
