There is no actual passion in this whole series. The whole thing almost reads like a battle report. I mean I guess that's ok, but could have been better. Its just seems kind of vacuous. The main character seems to be in boss mode all the time, and cannot seem to turn it off. A supporting character opens a dialog and the main character will stick "ok lets get back to business" and then everybody just does. It's just weird.
