This was a great story about forgiveness, getting a second chance at love and reconciling with family.

Aggie, the baby of the family, just wants to be treated like everyone else. She has dreams of working on her family's ranch and having the same responsibilities as her brothers. She falls in love with an amazing man that works on their ranch and they are to be married soon. On her wedding day, she finds out her almost husband has been paid to marry her so she stays on the ranch, but would never really have control of her own life. She bolts, leaves her childhood home and makes a life for herself.

Ten years later, she hears that her almost husband, Ansen, is in some trouble and he can't find a job. She knows he's good at what he does, so she hires him to work at her rescue for measly pennies as revenge, and he agrees.

Ansen has been drug through the mud and rumors (that aren't true) about how he treats animals have spread like wildfire and he can't get a job. He hears from "Christie" about a job at a rescue and he immediately accepts because he has no other options. As it turns out, "Christie" is his almost wife, Aggie and she is out for revenge. He doesn't run when he finds out it's her. All of his feelings for her come back. He wants to prove to her that what he did ten years ago isn't the person he is today and wants to try and be with her. She isn't ready to open her heart back up yet. She thought that he never loved her, but he did and just made a mistake.

Things get very complicated between Aggie, her family and Ansen. Ansen gets the chance to have his dream but will that dream derail all that him and Aggie built this time around?
