A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson

4.0

This book is about Dracula’s wife, Constanta. It’s essentially told in a POV where she is writing a letter to Dracula about why she had to kill him in order to truly “be free”. I love me a good vampire book, and it was refreshing to get back into a more traditional take on vampires.

I did really enjoy this book, it was so moody and delicious. It is a short read. I wouldn’t have minded more details, but also not sure if they were necessary? A perfect example is when she read his research at the end and you don’t get to learn about what she read, just some snippets are shared with the audience. I think since shes writing to Dracula, it’s a slightly limited POV for us readers.
