I was absolutely enchanted by this book. It is beautifully and subtly written, with vivid detail and a fascinating web of storylines. Shortly after starting it I began to dread finishing it, because I didn’t want it to be over. I love that feeling.
My only complaint is that I wanted more of the actual witchcraft that is hinted at and gradually revealed. But the succinctness of the story works well.
Potential readers, do make note of the content warnings. The heavy stuff is woven into the story in powerful ways and, in my opinion, handled beautifully. But the descriptions of certain events are graphic.

Graphic: Domestic abuse, Miscarriage, Rape, Blood, Abortion, Death of parent
Moderate: Suicidal thoughts, Car accident
