Feeling very meh about this one. With a murder in an AI house, this seemed right up my alley, but the more I read, the less I liked it, and by the end, it was a struggle to get through the last 10-15 pages. The story never really clicked for me, all kinds of intellectualizing about architecture but no real substance, nothing to grasp onto and ultimately nothing meaningful to say.
Which is not to say this was poorly written, just... a lot of writing around things and characters saying things meant to sound clever but ambiguous, and the story just never went anywhere. Kind of like Rose House, maybe that was the point? I feel like there were interesting things hinted at in this story, but even the house never felt all that haunted to me.
