Was torn on how to note the pace of this book. I read it on audio, over the course of my commutes. In that sense it felt lightning fast. But there’s also the issue of the soggy middle when Achilles is being a little whiny baby and everyone else is still having to fight. As soggy as that part was plot wise, there was a lot of action that made for a perfect serial listening experience. Had I read this with my eyes, I would have lost out. Audra McDonald is a compelling narrator and I love how she delivers the lines. The new translation was also much more engaging than past translations I’ve read/heard.
