What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami

emotional funny hopeful informative inspiring reflective fast-paced

What a gem. This book is about so much more than running. Murakami does an incredible job of demonstrating how we do one thing is oftentimes how or why we do something else. Like him, I am drawn to yoga (he, writing) + running because you truly don’t need anything besides yourself. I also enjoyed his observations on aging + the acceptance that is required to continue to do the thing.
