War of Hearts
by S. Young, Samantha Young
Really enjoyed the plot of this book and am looking forward to some of the others in the series based on the plot summaries. The romance was slow burn and off page and so good. This was a great read. Includes wolves, vampires, a brief appearance of witches, and some stories of fae.
Minor: Confinement, Physical abuse, Rape, Terminal illness, Torture, Violence, Death of parent
Most of the trigger warnings I mention are in the past and off page. The torture, physicial abuse, confinement, rape, and death of a parent all occur off page and in the past of our FMC. The mentions are NOT graphic (hence why I put them in minor) but they do populate through the story once she finally tells her story about halfway in. The terminal illness is not in one of the main characters but it is pivotal to the plot and also is NOT graphic. And the violence follows Thea all through the story. The supernatural that she is means she in hunted by several groups and in defending herself and innocents she does violence and her opponents do violence. You will hear mentions of snapping someone's neck (not a lethal wound), punches that go into the torso, etc. They are a little graphic but not overly so.
