This might be a good story, but I couldn't wrestle past the copious amounts of unnecessary backstory, the poor editing for punctuation and sentence structure, the inconsistent points of view, and the casual misogyny of the author. (Apparently a woman grows up to be a bad-ass if treated like a boy as a child. Mmkay.)
